Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and sales of
MathWorks sophisticated engineering products used by customers in
the automotive control systems domain; designing and developing
sophisticated software product models and simulations to
demonstrate MathWorks model based design product capabilities in
the automotive industry; developing technical engineering
demonstrations of MathWorks modeling, simulation and analysis
software to support the companys sales activities; engaging and
partnering with customers to demonstrate customized model-based
design tools and helping targeted customers understand new ways of
designing, testing, verifying and validating embedded systems,
including topics like control design, model and software
architecture approaches, automatic code generation, and formal
verification methods; providing in-depth technical guidance to
targeted customers in the controls area; preparing and delivering
presentations, demonstrations, and application examples during
customer meetings and public events; and advocating for the future
direction of MathWorks products based on customer interactions.
Requires frequent travel and on short notice. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering or a closely related field (or
foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience in job
offered or one (1) year of experience in development, testing and
technical support for automotive control systems. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise performing Model Based Design with MATLAB
and Simulink for control system requirements definition, sensor
calibration, analysis, and simulation. Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and Simulink
including developing automotive embedded systems using Model Based
Design for production code generation, verification and validation,
and target ECU vehicle testing according to automotive
standards. Demonstrated expertise developing and delivering technical
product demonstrations to automotive customers; and engaging with
automotive MATLAB and Simulink end users to gather and assess
customer requirements, understand workflows, define solutions for
customer needs according to customer specifications. Demonstrated expertise performing Hardware-in-Loop (HIL)
testing, including performing control prototyping, validation and
verification, and real-time testing using rapid-prototyping
