Job Description - Release Train Engineer (8245) Release Train Engineer - ( 8245 ) Job Description The Release Train Engineer (RTE) will be accountablefor the overall program delivery and for ensuring that the agile pods meettheir release commitments.--He/she will--be responsible tofacilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes and assist theteams in delivering value. They will be responsible to communicatewith stakeholders, resolving and where required, escalating program levelimpediments, help manage program risk, and drive relentless improvement with avision of fulfilling the objectives of the Program. This role will alsoparticipate in--Agile transformation, coaching leaders, teams, and ScrumMasters in the new processes and mindsets with a goal of building highperforming teams.

• Accountable for ProgramDelivery and for the Agile pods meeting the release commitments Own and maintain theoverall project plan, including all internal and external dependencies Responsible for allprogram level communications, across the program and to the executivemanagement Providing servantleadership and building high-performing Agile teams Bring transparency toBusiness and IT organization about the Program and grow trust Manage and optimize theflow of value through the ART Train--using various tools, such as the Program Kanbans and other information radiators Assist tracking theexecution of features and capabilities
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in--Agile practices and mindsets
  • Foster a continuous learning environment helping teams to inspect & adapt
  • Hire and retain talent Qualifications Knowledge
    • -- Expert knowledge of Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools Workingknowledge of banking audit and regulatory practices; ensures that projectsunder their responsibility are fully compliant with corporate standards Skills
      • -- Strong communications and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and relationships, manage matrixed teams, bridge communication gaps, resolve conflicts, and influence stakeholders
      • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new products, lines of business, processes, software, systems, and client needs
      • Effective risk management skills and ability to predict and mitigate risks and issues, as well as anticipating and proactively preparing for changes and impacts to clients and SVB's business
      • Active listening, persuasiveness to gain buy-in, consensus, and cooperation in the face of conflicting viewpoints, resistance to change, constraints, etc.

        • -- Bachelor's Degree
        • Experienced as a Release Train Engineer
        • Several years Scrum or/and Agile Coaching experience
        • Experience facilitating the Agile Release train processes and execution
        • Strong understanding of scaled agile frameworks
        • Experience interacting with stakeholders and managers at all levels Experienceand confidence leading large programs -- Preferred Education and Experience
          • -- Past developer experience is highly desired (preferably in agile setup)
          • Specific experience with Jira, Confluence, Kanban and similar tools and methodologies.
