the SPG Finance Chief of Staff (hiring manager) to ensure a sound
Finance cadence around controls and accounting, to provide
thoughtful enrichment and development strategies for the SPG
Finance organization, and support ad-hoc projects and initiatives
for SPG business partners and the SPG CFO.As a key finance business
partner, the candidate will anticipate internal and/or external
business challenges and actively influence management with critical
analysis and sound business advice. This role collaborates with
various cross-functional organizations globally and requires the
ability to provide solutions to complex problems.Major
ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the SPG Finance Chief of
Staff (hiring manager), the employee will have responsibilities in
some or all the below:
- Liaison to Corporate Accounting and ensure accounting
consistency across SPG
- BSR, Pre-Close and Close process and reporting to Corporate
Accounting
- Quarter-end Close planning & execution related to inventory
reserves & Opex
- SOX Controls across SPG Finance
- SRD Task Force & SRD processes & reporting
- SPG headcount tracking and partnering with SPG Human
Resources
- Agile Finance initiatives including Project Essential
leadership
- SPG Finance organization enrichment activities such as Finance
Forums, NCG program, All-Hands meetings, Agile Finance initiatives
(including Project Essential) & budget management
- Ad-hoc projects and initiatives up to 25% of timeKey
Expectations
- Proven competencies in communication, financial analysis and
working across functions with different levels of management to
drive results
- Eager to learn and understand the business to apply and
establish standardized financial processes
- Influencing - ability to impact decision within own
organization, cross functionally and within different level of
management by leveraging experience and competencies in financial
analysis
- Self-starter: able to maintain financial cycle deliverables,
identify change and drive items to closure with limited management
oversight
- Curiosity to understand the drivers of top and bottom-line
growthQualifications, Education & Experience
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area-- MBA -a
plus
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Very strong Excel skills, including modeling
- Interpersonal skills to engage with partners to understand key
issues, develop recommendations and implement actions to improve
the business result
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a

on a number of factors including location and level and will vary
