And we work diligently to encourage all with different ways of thinking, different ways of working, and especially those traditionally underrepresented in technology and financial services, to apply.Job Description: This Senior Risk Transformation Program Manager role will help lead the Risk Transformation at the bank, ensuring success in, and coordination of risk programs across the Lines of Defense functions to improve and align risk management practices across SVB. The role will report into the Sr. Director Risk Program Management, who reports into the Head of Risk Governance Oversight (a direct report to the CRO). - This role is part of a team that oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of workstreams, and initiative plans to ensure operating effectiveness of enterprise risk and governance frameworks. The role will work alongside various risk and business leaders, including Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, and the Chief Controls Office. Time will be split between leading and driving initiatives, advising stakeholders, providing effective challenge, and status reporting to Sr. Management and the Board. This includes strategic and tactical project management oversight, driving execution of certain initiatives and bodies of work, helping ensure projects are staffed and completed on-time, on-budget, with high quality. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of and experience with Risk Management practices, regulatory requirements and expectations for large financial institutions, general banking product knowledge, as well as program/project management and change skills to organize, advise and influence across businesses and regions. This person may also be closely involved in coordinating with and helping to lead outside consultants. This role is also expected to work closely with the Finance organization to ensure connectivity across work efforts supporting SVB's ongoing enhancement initiatives across Risk and Finance. Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry or consulting experience in risk management, preferably in large financial services firms.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or other related field
  • Strong and demonstrated experience with and understanding of risk management framework and processes, including risk identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation, risk reporting.
  • Program management experience in large scale projects, working with large and diverse teams and a demonstrated ability to manage and supervise stakeholders through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience in engaging and managing a variety of stakeholders with an ability to consult and develop remediation options, risk mitigation solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership acumen and ability to influence and negotiate with disparate parties. Ability to proactively drive projects forward and adopt new processes and projects.
  • Demonstrated success at leading initiatives including identification of a strategy to accomplish critical bodies of work, framing, analyzing and solving complex problems and driving execution of strategic and tactical solutions.
  • Clear and strong written and verbal communication skills, in order to support management with the preparation of materials to report project progress.
  • Ability to rapidly absorb complex information and develop key takeaways for senior audience.
  • Ability to proactively identify and report on risks, issues, dependencies for better planning of the program, and drive meaningful and detailed status reporting.
  • Robust analytical skill-set and intellectually curious mindset and aptitude for continuous learning as well as gaining additional subject matter expertise in risk management.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple overlapping projects, meet high-intensity deadlines, multi-task and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • High tolerance and positivity in dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Team player and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills
  • High aptitude with MS Office including Microsoft Teams, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Excel.
    Base Pay:$144,051.00 - $270,096.00Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
