Executive Assistant role supports Group Vice President and CEO,
LillyDirect . The purpose of the Senior Executive Assistant role is
to provide communication, scheduling, office management, and other
supportive duties for the business partner. Successful senior
executive assistants consistently function at the highest level

flexible and dependable Primary Responsibilities : Communication
Management Signs for and/or approves contingent or delegation
authority, communication materials for distribution, and more on
behalf of the business partner Prepares presentations from concepts
provided either in written or verbal form using appropriate
software packages Handles e-mail responses as desired by the
business partner (read, evaluate, respond, forward, and/or delete
as appropriate) Communicates independently in response to incoming
requests from external customers, prioritizing the requests, and
accepting accountability for the results of decisions Engages and
communicates with external senior leaders/key stakeholders Flexes
schedule when needed and available to be on call outside the
regular workday, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and
vacation time Maintains direct, open, and constant communication
with the business partner, regardless of the location of either, to
relay important information Schedule Management Screens,
prioritizes, and communicates activities, meetings and events and
coordinates all arrangements for attendance at those functions
Works with communications group on speaking engagements,
presentations and talking points for events to ensure business
partner is fully prepared Acts and makes independent decisions as
requests come in for business partners Prioritizes and organizes
the business partner’s time and ensures that the business partner
is adequately prepared for each day’s activities Coordinates and
works with external parties related to business partner’s
participation with external groups Arranges all travel, with every
detail finalized (details may include hotel, ground transportation,
meeting sites, participants, and itinerary) Office Management
Provides feedback and coaching to business partners and others in
the area Reads, screens, documents, answers, and files large
amounts of correspondence to reduce or eliminate the need for the
business partner to review and forward Coordinates and directs the
activities of others in the work area -motivating, delegating
projects or activities, following up on performance, instructing on
deadlines and methods Identifies opportunities for learning and
expanding business knowledge to maintain a competitive edge
Participates as a representative for others on a committee or team
Coordinates travel and meetings with and for outside consultants or
groups Leads or executes other special projects or responsibilities
as assigned by business partners Basic Qualifications : High school
diploma At least 5 years previous experience at the senior
administrative assistant level, preferably working with and
supporting a global organization with exposure to high level,
senior executives, and members of management. Qualified applicants
must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time
basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work

in a dynamic work environment with a high level of self-management,
manage multiple diverse tasks and meet tight deadlines Demonstrated
ability to effectively manage complex calendars High level of
organizational, project planning and large meeting planning skills
Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle sensitive,
confidential and proprietary information Strong technical skills
and proficient in all utilized systems (e.g., Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with others
to achieve common goals across the organization Demonstrated high
level of diligence, attention to details and accountability for
task management Additional Information : Role will be based in San

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $32.45 - $47.60
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company
bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
