Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for contributing to the sales of MathWorks
sophisticated engineering products; designing and developing
sophisticated software product models and simulations to
demonstrate MathWorks real-time simulation and testing solutions
product capabilities; developing technical engineering
demonstrations of MathWorks modeling, simulation and analysis
software to support sales activities; building data analytics
integration models and analytics systems to perform customer
experience analysis and analyze usage data to support data-driven
sales decisions; gathering customer software requirements to inform
development and customization of MathWorks real-time simulation and
testing solutions; promoting the technical capabilities of
MathWorks real-time simulation and testing solutions with Simulink
Real-Time in close collaboration with and for MathWorks customers
in North America; working with MathWorks customers to understand
initial sets of requirements; evaluating and creating
proof-of-concepts; refining, communicating, and proposing a viable
all-encompassing real-time simulation and testing solution for a
given customer project; understanding customers engineering
language, absorbing highly technical material and concepts, and
clearly communicating verbally and in writing the solutions created
and proposed with MathWorks products; supporting the technical
aspect of the sales process; providing technical pre-sales support
and guidance to MathWorks sales organization and customers in the
areas of rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop systems;
working with prospective customers to understand their workflow and
provide recommendations on how solutions from MathWorks can improve
the results of customer product development processes; delivering
product evaluations for prospective customers to prove the value of
MathWorks products within the constructs of a feasibility project;
preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations
at both small customer meetings and to larger audiences at public
and private events; and working closely with the worldwide
MathWorks application engineering, development, and marketing
organizations to further improve products, identify new application
areas based on customer interactions, and develop accurate and
compelling messaging targeting the marketplace. Requires frequent
travel and on short notice. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two
(2) years of experience in development, testing or technical
support of rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL)
systems. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in real-time modeling and simulation of
physical system and control system design using MATLAB and
Simulink. Demonstrated expertise implementing model-based design in
safety-critical embedded system and control system development;
including performing control prototyping, validation and
verification, and real-time testing using MATLAB, Simulink,
Stateflow, and Embedded Coder. Demonstrated expertise developing technical marketing or
customer support demonstrations of Simulink and MATLAB-based
modeling systems; and creating product demonstration materials and
program specifications. Demonstrated expertise in technical product management,
including marketing research and market analysis to inform
conversations with development, technical support and sales
stakeholders for the development of a product roadmap. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Graduate
