Key Duties and responsibilities: The Intel Imaging Customer Solutions team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, image quality tuning engineer.. Main responsibilities of the role: You will work with Intel's image processing unit (IPU), imaging validation platforms, and tuning / debugging tools as well as image quality evaluation tools and customer devices. Conduct competitive analysis of camera solutions, collect objective performance indicators, and optimize subjective image quality. Define technical requirements, metrics, test methodologies, and prepare reports on image quality. Participate in design reviews, conduct iterative testing, provide feedback and support to algorithm and tool development teams, work with driver teams and validation teams throughout release process. Work with external vendors and cross-functional teams to diagnose and solve sensor and ISP problems.. Qualifications. Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field of study. Minimum Qualifications:. 3+ months of experience with image sensors and image quality tuning. 3+ months of experience with objective camera testing and subjective image quality analysis. 3+ months of experience with image quality metrics and evaluation methodologies. Preferred Qualifications:. Knowledge of image sensor technology, optics, imaging algorithms, and implementation of camera systems in mobile products. Familiarity with module calibration issue. Knowledge of camera components and functions. Experience with developing and performing lab type testing, optimization of ISPs, IQ evaluation work, and software for camera evaluation. Experience with Matlab programming, with focus on digital image processing. Inside this Business Group.
