Job Description - SENIOR TEST ENGINEER (2206061861W) SENIOR TEST ENGINEER - 2206061861W Description Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting a Senior Test Engineer within our Robotics & Digital Solutions organization. The location for this position is Santa Clara, CA! Robotics and Digital Solutions, is part of Johnson & Johnson Med Tech. At Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital Solutions, we're changing the trajectory of health for humanity, using robotics to enhance healthcare providers' abilities and improve patients' diagnoses, treatments, and recovery times. Johnson & Johnson Robotics was established in 2020 with the integration of Auris Health, Verb Surgical, C-SATS, and Ethicon. As a Senior Test Engineer, PCBA, you will work closely with the Manufacturing and Electrical Engineering Design Team with the development and deployment of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) test to contract manufacturers. In This Role You Will

  • Work closely with the Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing teams to transfer in-house developed PBCA tests to Contract Manufacturers (CM).
  • Develop test methods and test documentation suitable for execution at contract manufacturers and release of documentation.
  • Work as a test point of contact for PCA Contract Manufacturers (CM). Deploy tests to CMs and train personnel. Support issues that arise related to deployed tests.
  • Work independently and contribute to all aspects of test development, coverage, drive execution and test results documentation.
  • Assist in the development of a PBCA test strategy by driving DFM and DFT analysis
  • Assist in the development of functional test fixtures, automated test scripts, and data acquisition and measurement systems. Key Accountabilities:
    • Architect overall test strategy for a complex medical robotics system
    • Own development of factory test processes from component-level to overall robotic system
    • Working in development teams, author testability requirements and analyze hardware and software designs for adequate observability and test coverage Expected Outcomes:
      • 3 months: knowledgeable of PCBA test strategy, supporting CM PCBA testing activities
      • 6-12 months: ownership of implementation of PCBA test fixtures and programs Qualifications Required:
        • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
        • A minimum of 4 years experience with a BS or a minimum of 2 years experience with higher education.
        • Prior experience with test equipment and test fixture design at the PCBA level for functional checkout.
        • Ability to read schematics and perform electrical debug using oscilloscopes, DMMs, multi-meters, TDRs, VNA, spectrum analyzer etc.
        • Ability to work efficiently and independently within a team. Demonstrate task ownership in multi-functional environment; ability to serve as a domain specialist and cross-functional ownership for testing/verification.
        • Shown problem-solving capability with excellent hands-on ability to build, debug, and modify the system and perform system failure analysis.
        • Produce high quality documentation that is clearly understandable by internal and external personnel. -Preferred:
          • Basic understanding of electrical systems and experience working with EtherCAT, RS422/RS485, RS232, I2C, SPI, SSI, BiSS, USB and/or etc.
          • Experience developing electrical board level test and experience with instrumentation automation using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Batch, Bash or Linux commands.
          • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Agile.
          • Experience with medical devices and testing electronics in safety-critical applications.
          • Experience in Medical Device Design Control for IEC 60601, CISPR 22, UL in an FDA environment.
          • Experience defining/developing ICT/ FCT testers with external vendors for printed circuit board testing. Other:
