Job Description:

Apple is looking for an energetic, creative and self driven engineer to work on future Display hardware/ software technologies for Apple products. In this role, you will be the focal point of defining next-gen architecture for Apple products. Specifically applying machine learning / deep learning techniques to display & optical design, manufacturing & testing, and on device display processing. The position allows you to work on wide range of of topics including prototyping, hardware & silicon definition, software & algorithm development, hands-on characterization, concept demo to executives. Key Qualifications

• Strong statistics, machine learning (ML) and deep neural network (DNN) fundamentals.
• Experience in the following fields is a plus: inverse problem, object detection, generative models, dimensionality reduction, computer vision.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with at least one of the major machine learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch or TensorFlow. Description - Apply statistical learnings to factory calibrations, system tuning and validation- Design ML and DNN architecture for on-device display processing- Establish systematic workflow in data engineering, model training, validation, deployment andmaintenance, in collaboration with partner teams.- Lead the effort of promoting ML & DNN based innovation, compounding with display domain knowledgeto further enhance Apple's display performance and user experience Education & Experience - PhD degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / Physics, or MSEE degree plus minimum 5 years work experience. Additional Requirements
  • Experiences in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
  • - Optics/Display/Camera hardware and module design and manufacturing
  • - ISP and/or display pipeline, digital signal and image processing
  • - Software and algorithm development
  • - Good communication and leadership skills to work with highly cross-functional collaborators
