centers, commercial, transportation, and education. Position
Summary The Mechanical Senior Project Manager is a senior leader
responsible for the planning, direction, execution, and financial
outcome of large-scale construction projects. This individual will
oversee multiple projects or a large program, ensuring alignment
with business goals, client satisfaction, operational efficiency,
and team development. As a key leader, you’ll act as the face to
clients, partners, and internal teams. Detailed Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Leadership Provide executive-level oversight on
multiple large-scale design-build MEP projects, including
multi-phase and mission-critical projects ($25M to $200M). Guide
all phases of the project lifecycle: business development handoff,
preconstruction, design coordination, procurement, construction
execution, commissioning, and close-out. Drive accountability among
Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure scope, schedule, and
budget are met or exceeded. Client & Partner Engagement Serve as
the primary point of contact for senior-level client
representatives and owners. Build and sustain long-term client
relationships through trust, communication, and performance. Lead
client-facing meetings, presentations, project reviews, and
value-engineering discussions. Manage third-party partners such as
architects, consultants, and general contractors to maintain
alignment and resolve issues. Financial & Contract Management Own
project financial performance, including P&L, forecasting, cost
control, billing, change orders, and earned revenue. Evaluate and
mitigate financial and operational risks across all active
projects. Lead negotiation and administration of all major
contracts and subcontracts in collaboration with legal and
procurement teams. Implement financial reporting standards and
oversee monthly project reviews with internal leadership. Team &
Talent Development Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of project
managers, engineers, field leaders, and support staff. Participate
in workforce planning and resource allocation across multiple jobs.
Champion staff development through coaching, performance feedback,
and advancement opportunities. Promote a culture of ownership,
accountability, and excellence across all project teams.
Preconstruction & Design Coordination Collaborate with estimating,
virtual design, and engineering teams during preconstruction to
shape project delivery strategies. Review and approve project
budgets, bid packages, buyout plans, and constructability reviews.
Ensure alignment of the design intent with project goals through
coordination of BIM/VDC, shop drawings, and prefabrication. Field
Execution & Quality Control Monitor field operations to ensure
safety, quality, schedule adherence, and productivity. Oversee
major field mobilization efforts, logistics planning, and
subcontractor management strategies. Support Superintendents in
resolving technical, manpower, or material-related challenges.
Maintain consistent site presence and executive visibility to
reinforce team support and stakeholder confidence. Innovation &
Continuous Improvement Promote lean construction principles and
integrated delivery model. Drive adoption of new technologies,
prefabrication strategies, and sustainability practices. Lead
lessons-learned sessions, post-mortems, and continuous improvement
initiatives across the business unit. Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s
degree or MBA is a plus. Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of
progressive construction experience, with at least 5 years in a
senior management or project executive role overseeing large-scale
MEP or integrated design-build projects. Technical Skills: Deep
knowledge of MEP systems and construction sequencing Proficient in
Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, BIM 360, and cost tracking tools
Familiarity with design-build, integrated project delivery (IPD),
and lean construction practices Leadership Skills: Proven ability
to lead large teams and mentor emerging talent Exceptional
communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Strong
business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
