Position Overview This position ensures that services delivered by SIMCO comply with customer requirements and SIMCO policies and procedures. The Quality Supervisor will have responsibility for performing annual internal audits of the Sunnyvale lab and customer audits as appropriate. The Quality Supervisor will have an active role in managing the review and approval of corrective actions and objective evidence within CCATS, and for responding to customer inquiries about Sunnyvale SIMCO's Quality System. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for the development of DOP's and work instructions for Sunnyvale and will coordinate SOP changes and additions in conjunction with the Corporate Quality Manager. Responsibilities and Duties 1. Responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance function within Santa Clara--laboratory to ensure the quality system is interpreted, implemented, and maintained2. Works closely with technicians, customer service reps, account managers and operations management to ensure the quality of our services meet/exceed customers and SIMCO's guidelines3. Improves and maintains quality output through external certificate error rate of less than .1% and Field Service Certificate turn around time of no more than 2 days from service date.4. Performs annual internal audits of Sunnyvale laboratories and maintains the annual internal audit schedule.5. Leads the Santa Clara customer audit team including responding to audit questionnaires and responding to audit results and findings.6. Responds to customer inquiries about SIMCO's Quality System or other issues presented by the customer or potential customer.7. Monitors the activities of laboratory incoming and final inspectors. Performs duties of final inspector when required.8. Ensures compliance with 10 CFR part 21.9. Maintains A2LA Controlled Scope of Accreditation Position Description 2 Form # HR-023.10. Facilitates customer audits, provides resolutions, and implements changes to satisfied customers' requirements.11. Initiates reverse traceability reports and determines necessity for product recall.12. Consults with customers in quality and service issues.13. Maintains training records and initiate update process.14. Prepares quality and productivity reports as required.15. Determines disposition of nonconforming product.16. Monitors and approves calibrating environment conditions.17. Approves calibration procedures and maintains laboratory calibration procedure log.Qualifications 1. Five or more years of technical experience in calibration laboratory environment 2. Familiarity with calibration methods and measurement processes 3. Knowledge of requirements of ISO-9000 and ANSI/ASQ Z-540 and ISO Guide 17025 4. Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing 5. Must be logical and detail oriented6. Must have the ability to investigate and make reasonable conclusions for quality related issues7. Knowledgeable in the use of MS Word and Excel8. ISO standards and methods of compliance 9. Corrective action and customer complaint processes10. Document Control 11. Calibration laboratory practices and terminology12. Incoming and final inspection practices13. Quality process improvement14. Internal and external auditing procedures15. Reverse traceability and impact analysis16. Interval analysis17. Procedure development18. Software quality assurance and verification Physical Demands1. Standing and walking 25% and sitting 75% of the time 2. Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods of time 3. Must be able to operate a personal computer, keyboard, and pointing device 4. Must have the ability to life up to 25 lbs unaided Working EnvironmentWorks in an office environment of controlled temperature and humidity.
