Marcom is Apple's Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee
all of Apple's advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless
development and execution of world-class communications. We believe

The Art Director (AD), Motion Design, is responsible for crafting
innovative and inspiring motion design solutions for Apple's
products, services and events. They choreograph the balance of
graphic design, motion, music and editorial elements to pay off
creative briefs which communicates Apple's message. This requires
broad experience in both designing creative solutions as well as
ensuring the accurate implementation of creative intent though the
production process. Additionally, they have experience
communicating motion design solutions to senior creatives while
also having the ability to share that with junior team members.
Outstanding conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Portfolio exhibiting thorough grasp of design principles, animation
principles, motion theory, typography and visual communication.
Ability to conceive and articulate novel motion ideas both through
contemporary references as well as crafting animation in tools such
as After Effects, Cinema 4D or equivalent 3D software.
Outstanding design skills with the ability to guide, evaluate, and
if necessary, redirect creative development.
Demonstrates ability to learn and adapt quickly and is skilled in
creative problem solving in a rapidly changing environment.
Familiarity with production tools (such as Maya, Houdini and Nuke)
and how they relate to the design being implemented in a production
environment, is a plus.
Skilled animator, designer and illustrator that has experience both
pitching creative and leading production from concept to
Integral member of the creative team responsible for designing and
directing the motion design identity for Apple's products, services
Crafts innovative and inspiring campaigns that meet the
requirements outlined in Apple's creative briefs, while
collaborating with partners and mentoring junior creatives.
Builds relationships, rapport and credibility within their Motion
Design team and with members of partner teams to ensure cross
functional alignment of creative.
Prepares work for creative reviews with key stakeholders, gathering
feedback on direction and ensuring work aligns with other projects
within Apple's Design community.
Dynamic communication style, capable of realtime creative problem
Contributes to planning and art directing projects from initial
blue sky ideation through final production and delivery.
Education & Experience
Ideally you have a college degree and 7-10 years work experience in
the creative and design field or the equivalent.
