Your Career

We are looking for a Security Awareness Manager who is passionate about creating and sharing informative security content designed to change behavior and reinforce good security practices.

This individual, reporting to the Director, InfoSec Strategic Initiatives, will be responsible for creating informative content, articles, blogs, and supporting InfoSec's participation in security events. You will also be expected to promote InfoSec's brand, products, and services.

Your Impact

As the Security Awareness Manager, you will directly impact the overall security posture of Palo Alto Networks by focusing on one of the most critical elements of a company's security portfolio-the people. You will develop and deliver clear, user-focused content and resources to educate and enable employees and contractors to perform their jobs securely. This position will ensure global team members are appropriately educated on enterprise and regulatory security requirements and best practices. You will also be responsible for working with Palo Alto Networks' corporate functions to share InfoSec's security posture at targeted events.

  • Develop and manage security awareness to ensure members at all levels across the enterprise understand the principles of cyber security and the protection of intellectual property (IP) to increase organizational awareness of cybersecurity best practices and to reduce compliance risks and recurring issues
  • Create and maintain a portfolio of interactive awareness campaigns and corresponding reporting capabilities
  • Develop core messaging leveraging various formats and delivery channels to raise the InfoSec strategy awareness and priorities to life through storytelling
  • Manage and support InfoSec presence at company-sponsored security events
  • Manage messaging on behalf of all InfoSec teams to ensure consistency and impact
  • Provide materials for cybersecurity awareness for organization-wide initiatives and projects
    Qualifications

    Your Experience
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and -10+ years security awareness experience
    • 5+ years' event execution experience
    • Stakeholder-first mindset; brings new ideas on how to improve the stakeholder experience
    • Proven track record in creating compelling messaging & positioning for security solutions
    • Strategic thinker who can quickly understand complex security issues and develop the right content for the need
    • Ability to work effectively with multiple business partners, including cross-group teams, virtual and global teams, vendors, and agency partners
    • Proven track record for new, innovative approaches and smart risk taking
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects from start to finish
    • Self-starter who proactively seeks out resources, conducts research, and aligns with stakeholders to create the best work possible
    • Strong situational analysis, decision making abilities and relationship management with key stakeholders across the organization
    • Excels at presenting to and getting buy-in from different audiences, e.g., company leadership, cross-functional team members, and customers
      Education
      • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and experience in information / cyber security, computer systems, IT, etc.

        Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum compensation (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) for this role to be located in the state of Colorado. If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $109,000/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
