What We Are Looking For
An Influencer - You are able to move the hearts and minds of not
just your teams, but your peers and executive leaders. You have
strong beliefs loosely held, and influence from a position backed
by data. People gravitate to the arguments you make not because you
are the loudest, but rather because you are the best listener and
truly understand the needs and goals of those you seek to
A Coach - You have a respectful approach to guiding, encouraging
(and even inspiring!) not just your direct reports but the broader
cross-functional team of designers and engineers. You have a proven
ability in creating an environment where each person can uniquely
shine, contribute and show up as their authentic self every day.
You roll up your sleeves and get hands on when necessary; you
create safety for your teams to fail and learn safely.
A User Advocate - You have a user-centred style, with a strong
sense of empathy and thinking about bringing the whole journey to
life. You create a culture of continuous feedback and connection
with your users to ensure you and your teams ensure we know our
users not just make assumptions.
A Scientist - You believe that the way to understand and discover
insights is by generating hypotheses and running experiments. You
create transparency around the data and use it to guide your
decisions, but also drive shared understanding across diverse
perspectives. You can manage ambiguity with grace, remain objective
and guide your team and peers through uncertainty
A Strategist & Tactician - You have experience driving product
direction and execution. You base your decisions on data, yet can
create a compelling story around the vision to inspire those around
you. You get engaged with big challenges and engage those around
you to engage in big thinking. And because you are driving the
plan, you feel a sense of ownership to bring it to life by guiding
and empowering broader teams to develop solutions.
A Facilitator - You can bring diverse perspectives together and
create a shared purpose / a common goal. You believe in fighting
hard for win:win solutions and letting the best argument win. You
want everyone and all perspectives to be heard, yet are confident
in making tough decisions, and making those decisions in a way
where it's ok to disagree and commit.
