Reporting to the Vice President, System Product Engineering, this Director will be tasked with leading, growing, and developing the Product Engineering team for NVIDIA's datacenter products portfolio including GPU Accelerated Server Platforms (DGX), Hyperscale GPU Accelerator Platforms (HGX) and datacenter GPU modules. These purpose-built systems are optimized for the growing Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Analytics environments. NVIDIA's DGX/HGX portfolio is arguably the most complicated Server platform ever developed with world-class technology enabling never-been-seen-before performance levels. This product family represents the company's fastest-growing line of business and its largest total available market opportunity.NVIDIA seeks to recruit a vibrant, creative, highly-motivated, and self-confident leader. The candidate must be comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where technology change and innovation are constant. They must also be an excellent communicator and team player, possessing broad managerial, critical problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills, allowing them to be knowledgeable, responsive, and adaptable in servicing a dynamic and hyper-growth business.The successful candidate will demonstrate their knowledge of Server architectures, CPU baseboards, and high-speed interconnects to help bring to market high availability solutions to augment existing Server architectures with GPU-accelerated clusters. This executive will be responsible for delivering high quality, datacenter products establishing and evolving the processes, partnerships and engineering capability to deliver production goals. They will also be accountable for driving the team to achieve the desired cost and quality metrics considered best-in-class.What you'll be doing:

  • Design, implement and institutionalize processes and procedures for Mass Production (Documentation, Debug, F/A, Data Collection, Yield, Quality, Schedule, Test Enhancement, Product Modifications).
  • Build, lead, and develop a global Product Engineering team hyper-focused on producing DGX platforms and proliferating systems-level knowledge and expertise throughout the entire Operations and Engineering organizations.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of NVIDIA's hardware and software architectures, marrying that knowledge with server platform experience and transforming NVIDIA into systems-level authorities.
  • Partner with Operations Test Engineering team to define Test Coverage and Manufacturing Test Flow requirements from a Product standpoint.
  • Help drive manufacturing partners (CM/ODM/JDM) to achieve world-class data center products. Provide guidance to meet NVIDIA's development as well as production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Be responsible for working with factory planning to address all technical manufacturing and test blockers to meet production supply targets. Scope includes addressing yield excursions, alternate component qualifications, and closing test/DFx gaps with the engineering design teams.
  • Be a strong senior technical leader and systems-level voice across NVIDIA's Operations, Engineering, and Executive teams, acting as a strong partner and influencer to ensure the best technologies and products are developed and taken to market.What we need to see:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). A Master's degree is highly desirable.
    • 5+ years of Executive Level Management experience in large, cross-matrix, and geo-dispersed technology organizations focused in/around the server and data center space-strong experiences in Operations Product Engineering.
    • 10+ overall years of experience
    • Deep Server Knowledge with HW/SW and CPU/GPU accelerated computing experience preferable. A consistent track record of successfully delivering large, complex, and world-class server platform (hardware and software) solutions to the global data center supply chain and customer base.
    • Proven builder, leader, developer of high-performing global teams. Strong ability to work in a matrix environment, utilizing data-driven communication to gain resource support from various teams as necessary.
