Position:Director ECS MarketingJob Description:The Director of
Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) Marketing is responsible for
globally driving Arrow's brand and value proposition to ECS
constituents (including but not limited to suppliers, partners,
industry analysts, media and employees) to establish Arrow as the
most differentiated and leading value-added distributor in the IT
industry. This leader reports directly into the global head of
Marketing for Arrow ECS and leads all aspects of Marketing of Arrow
including brand awareness and customer acquisition campaigns,
thought leadership, internal and external communication, products &
solutions marketing, media as well as signature events globally to
not only effectively tell Arrow's story to all relevant audience
but also use the elevated brand awareness to successfully help
recruit new customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate has 10+
years of experience and proven track record as a high potential
talent demonstrating drive, ambition, business acumen, and
emotional intelligence and has proven expertise to elevate brands
in a highly competitive industry.This leader must have the ability
to set a vision and strategies and then mobilize the organization
to achieve that vision. This role will be instrumental in
supporting the differentiation of Arrow and the emotional
connection with its audience to drive enhanced perception and
long-term loyalty among Arrow's business constituents in the IT
channel. This leader has demonstrated skill collaborating with
analytics and insights, regional and local teams, creative
agencies, and external strategic alliance brand partners to deliver
best in class brand positioning, messaging, and experience.What You
Will Be Doing:Leadership and Vision
- In collaboration with Arrow's corporate brand marketing team,
establish clear and precise strategy to elevate Arrow's brand among
ECS constituents to establish Arrow as the leading and most
differentiated value-added distributor
- Establish a time-bound strategic roadmap to extend Arrow's
brand awareness reach to all existing customers and suppliers and
then to at least 75% of the addressable market
- Establish, evangelize and create a brand reputation measurement
framework that tracks Arrow's brand performance among ECS
constituents and helps in determining future strategies and
prioritizations to achieve better business resultsCommunication
- Drive strategy and execution of all internal communication
needs for ECS business globally including global town halls,
leadership talks and any other strategies needed to communicate
progress on global strategies to Arrow internal constituents
- Collaborate with Arrow's corporate communications team on all
external communications needs of ECS business including PR (on
behalf of Arrow or its suppliers/partners) and manage ECS
communications calendar
- Plan and assist Arrow ECS senior executives in creating a
differentiated presence through thought leadership among media,
analysts, social and other applicable arenas
- Assist global VP of Marketing in all departmental communication
needs by creating, managing and executing a communication calendar
aligned with global marketing and digital experience strategy and
visionThought leadership and Media
- Establish, manage and supervise Arrow's thought leadership
content strategy, execution and calendar along with distribution
plan including social and digital channels globally
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications team to place Arrow's
identified thought leaders into local, regional and global media by
proactively managing an aggressive media exposure plan
- Create an ecosystem for turning thought leadership content into
targeted media exposure aligned with the campaign calendar to
attract unknown audiences to Arrow with the intent of acquiring
their businessCampaigns
- Supervise the creation of annual awareness and customer
acquisition campaign plans and guide team with an understanding of
industry best practices and emerging strategies that will make the
marketing of Arrow campaigns competitive better performing
- Ensure Arrow has a competitive edge in brand awareness,
customer acquisition, and retention by developing new creative,
innovative, and out-of-the-box approaches in applying the Arrow's
messaging and positioning in brand campaigns
- Develop a deep understanding of customer mindsets and barriers
to attract them and subsequently offer the team creative and
sustainable solutions to overcome challengesSignature Events
- Elevate Arrow's presence in the IT channel by creating and
implementing a strategic events strategy that allows Arrow to
become visible in a sustainable manner across all relevant
events
- Supervise the creation and expansion of Arrow Signature Events
strategy, vision and operation plan at global scale and collaborate
with regional presidents and their teams to successfully
executeProducts and Solutions Marketing
- Establish a strategy and time-bound roadmap to communicate
Arrow's value proposition and messaging succinctly to all
constituents for Arrow's products and solutions per global GTM
strategy: Arrow Capital Solutions, Services, Marketing and Platform
(ArrowSphere)
- Ensure Arrow is on top of media houses' and industry analysts'
minds and gets appropriate timely coverage in their publications to
allow significant elevation of perception among the target
audience
- Ensure products and solutions marketing efforts are fully
coordinated with the thought leadership, signature events and
campaign efforts for the most impactful outcome.What We Are Looking
For:
- 10+ years developing and executing strategic communications and
brand marketing strategies required preferably in B2B IT/technology
market
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or simliar; MBA strongly
preferred
- Management of communications to multiple complex stakeholder
groups at a local, regional, national and international scale
- Must have proven experience being trusted advisor to senior
executives
- Media placement (earned media) experience required with
examples of successful media pitches leading to favorable coverage
in tier 1 or 2 media; experience with new age media strongly
preferred
- Must be an expert in digital/social brand presence strategies
and best practices as well as very solid experience with
effectively using traditional marketing tactics and channels for
best outcome
- Must have metrics and outcome-driven mindset and excellent
expertise managing high volume of activities and campaigns by
ensuring effective capacity and resource planning
- Must have previously selected/managed creative,
brand/communications/PR agencies
- Multi-touch, multi-dimensional marketing program design,
creation and implementation experience including superlative
knowledge of marketing and sales automation platform mechanics,
campaign testing strategies and preferably demand waterfall
processes and metrics
- Agency landscape/best practices, deep knowledge of marketing
channels effectiveness & mix
- Superior Project management skills along with strong
written/oral communications and budget allocation and management
