The Corporate Development Manager will work directly with SoundHound's senior executives to define, analyze, and shape our overall M&A strategy, including sourcing, evaluation of opportunities, deal execution, integration and ensuring the financial and operational targets of each transaction are fully realized and drive shareholder value. We have significant growth ambitions and a tremendous opportunity to catalyze the next era of human-computer interactions and this role will help us ensure we evaluate all potential avenues towards maximizing our potential.
In this role you will:


  • Monitor and assess market participants and trends in related markets for SoundHound and assist in the formulation of strategies to grow, incorporating M&A to expand with new customer segments, accelerate into new vertical industries or market segments, speed go-to-market or deepen our technological differentiation.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute a variety of strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, investments and strategic projects & partnerships.
  • Provide opportunity evaluation and assessment, business case development, and diligence & issue resolution.
  • Conduct financial modeling and valuation, transaction execution & integration, and lead the internal and external transaction team.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and business partners to prepare and deliver presentations to senior management.
  • Foster and demonstrate a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation and exceeding expectations

    We would love to hear from you if:

    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate development
    • Strong financial analysis and valuation skills, including understanding of investment/merger/acquisition analysis and related processes
    • Excellent business sense and ability to understand and resolve complex business issues
    • Deep expertise in SaaS environments and with ASC 606 and software revenue recognition rules
    • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
    • High energy, self-motivation, and a willingness to work towards firm deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Ambitious and eager to learn; and learns quickly from mistakes
    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills particularly within a growing, rapidly changing environment
