  • Drive development of highly scalable product and infrastructure features on our world-class data lake as part of our next generation cyber-security cloud platform
  • Lead teams of distributed systems engineers leading by example, mentoring the team, and establishing credibility through quality technical execution
  • Recruit and retain top technical talent required to deliver services
  • Own the organizational objective of end-to-end services health and customer experience
  • Develop communication programs to connect the team with the rest of the engineering and product organizations
  • Cultivate a safe work culture that inspires individual decision-making and innovation
  • Coach for frequent and effective feedback among team members
  • Represent Cloud engineering and leadership at industry eventsQualificationsYour Experience
    • Domain expertise and solid skills in computer science, applied math, statistics, and machine learning, alongwith quantitative data analysis of large volumes of observational data
    • Practitioner experience in designing and developing high-performance distributed systems
    • Proficiency in core systems areas like operating systems, messaging and streaming systems, data management, consensus models, api management
    • Some combination of hands-on programming skills in native and managed language runtimes like C/C++, Java, Golang, Python
    • Passionate about management, coaching, and creating opportunities to support your directs success
    • Leadership style makes space for multiple senior engineers and supports the growth of everyone on your team to keep pace with rapid change
    • Able to weigh several, often conflicting constraints, and make quick decisions in a dynamic and quickly-growing company
    • Highly organized. With many people doing many things in a fast-paced company, strong organizational skills both for yourself and for the team is needed for success
    • Several years experience serving in an engineering management role in an Agile development environment
    • Previous experience building and running high-scale geographically distributed always-on systems plus a good mix of Unix toolchain and systems programming experience
    • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experienceAdditional InformationThe TeamDrawing on the near real-time data collected through PAN-OS device telemetry, our industry-leading next generation insights product (Device Insights) gives large cybersecurity operators a force multiplier that provides visibility into the health of their next-generation-firewall (NGFW) devices. It enables early detection of issues at various levels of the stack via advanced time-series forecasting and anomaly detection using novel deep learning techniques.
