Job Description
Your Career
We are looking for an experienced benefits leader to join our Global Rewards Team. This individual will have a centralized focus on U.S. programs and policies with the ability to manage Canada health and welfare and retirement benefits as well. This role will report to the VP, Global People and work alongside our regional benefits teams in the U.S., EMEA, and JAPAC to help create a cohesive, employee-forward global benefits strategy for Palo Alto Networks. We are seeking a colleague who enjoys working independently but collaboratively in a collegial team environment within a fast-paced and dynamic company.
Benefits Leadership

  • Manage, support, and develop a team of benefit program managers
  • Promote knowledge and understanding for business leaders and people business partners around benefit best practices and benchmarking
  • Act as the subject matter expert for our AMER benefits programs and act as the escalation point for any complex issues arising from People Business Partner cases
  • Lead, plan and manage effective communications for regional employees and partners - PBPs, HRConnect, Talent Acquisition, etc.
  • Stay up to date on compliance updates and requirements in the AMER region and update policies and programs to align with any regulatory changes
    Benefits Strategy Management
    • Drive the U.S. and Canada benefits strategies in line with Palo Alto Networks regional and corporate objectives, business strategy, and values
    • Own/manage the relationship with our local Canada broker(s) as well as our global and U.S. consultant (Willis Towers Watson)
    • Own/manage the relationships with key benefit vendors in the U.S. & Canada
    • Track, measure, and report out on key benefit metrics and performance over time
    • Ensure the ongoing compliance and competitiveness of programs through benchmarking and ROI/value assessments
    • Assess opportunities for the regional/global alignment of programs and policies
    • Complete RFPs and implement new programs and policies as required
      Benefits Administration
      • Oversee the design and administration of all AMER benefits programs including health, retirement, life & disability, and time off/leaves of absence
      • Support benefit program managers with day-to-day plan support, employee concerns/escalations, and vendor issues as needed
      • Own/manage the annual financial planning process for the U.S. & Canada benefits in conjunction with internal and external partners
      • Oversee the integration of benefit initiatives with internal and external functions (i.e. benefits operations during LOA, payroll deductions, self-insurance management, etc.)
      • Support regional merger and acquisition initiatives in conjunction with leadership, business partners and various stakeholders for a successful integration and transition of benefits
        Qualifications
        Your Experience
        • 10 or more years relevant experience in benefits management or benefits consulting preferred
        • Proven track record of managing benefit plans and providers
        • Ability to set, manage, and deliver programs within a reasonable budget as well as make decisions and trade-offs based on holistic financial metrics
        • You are detail-oriented, and have both left-brain and right-brain strengths
        • Superior language, written and oral, communication skills required
        • Sense of humor and commitment to professionalism
        • Dynamic and team oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic
        • Able to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
        • Comfortable with ambiguity

          The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer, the starting salary (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) is expected to be between $154,600 to $227,200. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
