We're looking for a confident, competent and self-motivated Development Manager to join and grow with our team to help solve the housing issues facing the state. The role requires drive, flexibility and a can-do attitude to effectively manage acquisition, entitlements, oversee budgets and schedules while elevating projects to the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Strong knowledge and experience with local, state and federal housing financing programs including HCD, HOME, LIHTC, and Tax-Exempt Bonds; willingness to learn about new and nontraditional financing opportunities;
• Demonstrates understanding of the development process, programs and schedules related to specific projects;
• Working knowledge of affordable housing and land use policy that impact low-income developments.
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate development, finance, planning, or related field. Other fields of study would be acceptable combined with appropriate work experience.
  • Seven (7) or more years of direct work experience in affordable housing development, or a related field, with increasing responsibility.
  • Successful financial closing of multiple real estate development transactions in California including Market Rate and/or 9% and/or 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
