The Monetization Ranking AI Research at Meta is seeking a technical leader to join our team and work on the next generation of RecSys for ads recommendation. AI for monetization is a top priority for the company because of its potential to drive significant revenue growth through improving ads performance. Our team is taking the lead in this space with a vision to enable fully automated and data-driven ad optimization through efficient LLM.Research Scientist Manager - AI ResponsibilitiesDrive efficiency gains on training, fine tuning, and deployment of diffusion based image/video generative models through novel techniquesDrive end-to-end development of diffusion based image/video generative models, including data sourcing and curating, filtering, experiment design, evaluation and moreLead a team of applied researchers and software engineers to drive revenue for MetaCommunicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projectsRemain up-to-date on ongoing research and software development activities in the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisionsRemain involved in the research community, both understanding trends, and setting themMinimum Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and/or NLP, in the setting of both research and engineering developmentExperience and track of recording in landing large research and/or product impacts in a fast-paced environment3+ years of hands-on supporting and leading teams of research scientists and software engineersProven technical vision in the field of generative AIExperience and knowledge of model efficiency techniques (quantization, distillation, etc.)Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functionsDemonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance managementPreferred QualificationsPhD in speech/language/vision deep learning, artificial intelligence, and/or related technical fieldExperience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch.Experience and knowledge of large-scale data platformsExperience and knowledge of training diffusion based image/video/speech generative models, fine-tuning on datasets.For those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click here for additional information.About MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
