looking for a High-Voltage Lab Engineer in the Datacenter Systems
Team to support System and Board level testing and debug of
NVIDIA's datacenter products. This newest member will collaborate
with an innovative multidisciplinary world-class team of engineers
to help build and develop our industry leading GPU accelerated
computing products. In this role you will gain a deep understanding
of datacenter products as we take on the challenge to solve complex
technical issues, so there will be plenty of opportunity for
learning new skills related to datacenter products and
infrastructure. The primary responsibility is to support our
engineering teams during development to ensure outstanding quality
GPU server products may be released to the market and delight our
customers so that AI scientists and datacenter operators can
achieve their professional aspirations using NVIDIA technology. The
new lab team member will work independently to complete daily tasks
according to priorities, demonstrate a passion towards system level
product quality, and should be comfortable in an engineering lab
environment.What you'll be doing:Establish and champion a safe
electrical workplace in the lab involving high-voltage
equipment.Set up and maintain benchtop AC-DC power supplies, so
they can be connected to development platforms.Assemble, build and
install benchtop development platforms and large server
systems.Train lab users on safe practices when using benchtop power
supplies and probing > 50VDC circuits.Order and manage inventory
of electrical PPE to be used by trained lab users for certain
high-voltage tasks.Maintain and organize the lab equipment for
efficiency and continuously look for ways to improve lab
processes.What We Need to See:BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent
experience2+ years of work experienceCurrent or previous NFPA 70E
workplace 2018 or 2021 certification. (NVIDIA will provide training
to recertify to the latest standard.)Demonstrated competence to
install 208/240/415VAC input power cables to power supplies, and
verify normal operation, so they may be used safely by lab
users.Good attention to detail, as well as strong teamwork and
communicationsWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience using
high-current electronic load equipment for validating power
supplies and system PSUs.Background with selecting and installing
208/240/415VAC PDUs for datacenter server racks.Experience with lab
test equipment setups for signal measurement using oscilloscopes
and understanding to follow a schematic.Experience with x86/ARM
architectures and accelerated GPU computing.NVIDIA offers highly
