We seek a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist, OT/OTR to join our team at a skilled nursing facility.RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' strengths, limitations, and goalsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's needs and goalsProvide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-beingCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated careEducate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and strategies for independent livingDocument patients' progress and update treatment plans as neededStay current with advances in occupational therapy by attending professional development opportunitiesREQUIREMENTS:New passer/graduates are welcomeWith Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care, experience is a plusPrevious experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT) is a plusA California license to practice Occupational Therapy is requiredBLS Certifications are requiredIs in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is requiredInterest in working with the geriatric populationGraduate of a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)Knowledge of the nursing process and standards of care for skilled nursing facilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environmentExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesBasic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health recordsWHAT WE OFFER: We value our team members and provide a supportive and enriching work environment.
