Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Job Details - Facility: Sutter Health Mills Health Center - Location: 100 S San Mateo Dr, San Mateo, CA 94401 - Unit: PACU / Day Surgery Unit - Specialty: PACU RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Positions Available: 1 Schedule - Shift Options: - 4x10s Day – 06:00 AM to 04:30 PM - 4x10s Day – 09:30 AM to 07:00 PM - Start Times: Variable (06:00–09:30) - Weekends: None - On-Call: None - Closing shift (09:30 start) may require staying late if patients do not meet discharge criteria Unit & Patient Population - Day Surgery Unit (Pre-Op, PACU, Post-Op) - Adult & Pediatric patients - Ambulatory and outpatient surgical cases Primary Responsibilities - Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care in Pre-Op, PACU, and Post-Op areas - Monitor patients post-anesthesia and support safe discharge - Provide patient and family education - Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams Required Experience & Certifications - Active California RN License – REQUIRED (at submission) - Minimum 5 years of PACU RN experience (inpatient and/or outpatient surgery) - Ambulatory Care experience – REQUIRED - BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS – REQUIRED - Epic charting experience preferred Compliance & Additional Notes - 50-mile travel requirement (locals accepted at lower bill rate) - Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of offer acceptance - All certifications must be AHA and in hand at submission - One holiday RTO allowed - 7-year work history verification required - Modules are non-billable (1–5 hrs avg; hours beyond 16 orientation hrs are billable) - Facility does not accept 1099 K16 About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
