Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid State RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: CA RN License ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS Every other weekend availability Description: The ICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Strong clinical assessment skills are essential for monitoring patients' conditions and responding to changes. Experience in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction is required. The nurse should be knowledgeable in advanced life support protocols and procedures. Responsibilities include the administration of medications, management of IV lines, and monitoring of vital signs. The nurse will effectively communicate with patients and families regarding care and treatment plans. Skills required include interpretation of EKGs, arterial blood gases, and ventilator management. Infection prevention practices will be a key part of daily responsibilities. The nurse will adhere to safety and quality standards within the ICU environment.
