As a member of the WildFire Security Research Team, you will work on employing different techniques to detect and defend against emerging threats. You will be a key person in transforming ideas into products which are part of the next generation security platform. Specifically, you are expected to:

• Architect, design and implement a system that can hold billions of records, develop and maintain large-scale ETL pipelines,
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for system deployment and management, ability to build monitoring and alerting system for service health visibility
• Deploy analytics programs to identify malware trends, hidden patterns, abnormalities and areas of improvements
• Work with other teams or individuals to build advanced machine learning and statistical models for detection improvements Your Impact Design and build data management system to ingest, integrate and manage all the required sources of data for business insights and reports Perform analysis on the data to generate insights Collaborate with different detection and research teams throughout Palo Alto Networks to evangelize good data analytics practices Collaborate with malware researchers to develop algorithms based on the data warehouse that can contribute back to our cloud-based automated malware analysis solution Proficiency in at least one of the programming languages: Python, Golang, C, C++ or Java Experience with data management architecture design and building Experience with Big Data Analytic tools and solutions, such as ElasticSearch, BigQuery, etc Demonstrated experience in system automation on top of techniques like Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, etc Experience with malware analysis (PE, Office, ELF, APK, PDF or other common binaries/documents) is a plus Experience with GCP/AWS/Azure cloud environment is a plus BS/MS in computer science/engineering, or equivalent experience The Team To stay ahead of the curve, it's critical to know where the curve is, and how to anticipate the changes we're facing.
