Job Description:

An established Boston Design Consulting firm is growing its west coast office in Santa Clara, CA.They provide design engineering expertise and low-volume mfg capabilities to prepare their clients for in-house high-volume production (or thru a CM).They're hiring two client-interactive, hands-on Product Developers/Project Managers.Two areas of extreme interest are:

• Disposable/reusable catheters, equipment, implants & packaging.
• Surgical robotic systems (surgical or endoscopic end-effectors).As a solutions provider, they want organized innovators & communicators to develop client relationships; determine their needs, convert them to proposals, and take ownership for planning/executing concurrent Projects/Programs to completion; communicating with major stakeholders throughout the process.Technical Strengths:
  • 3D CAD Design/Analysis (SolidWorks). Statistical methods; disciplined Project Mgt. tools
  • Evaluation of technology, methods, materials, machines & processes to achieve NPD goals.
  • Prototype production (using in/external resources)
  • Bench/animal feasibility studies
  • Product V&V testing for product safety/efficacy, including report generation
  • Risk Management
  • Documentation Generation: Design control, Quality/Regulatory compliance, etc.Personal Qualities:
    • Tact, diplomacy, persuasiveness, presentation/negotiation skills.
    • Detail-oriented, adaptive, cool under pressure, leans into the challengeThis is a small company environment. Lots of autonomy & team spirit. NOT a lot of politics.It's OK to be the smartest guy in the room. Not OK to make sure everyone knows it's you.
