they serve. -The Product Management team drives the development,
product definition, and planning to optimize the company's products
and solutions. The Product Management team evaluates in-depth
market analysis and leads business case development for
optimization of existing products and solutions alternatives and/or
to create the next generation of new products. Collaborates with
research and development to create products and validate early
product definitions. This role is both strategic and technical in
nature and requires meaningful industry experience. -As a Technical
Product Manager, Principal focused on Robotics software, you will
be responsible for the entire roadmap of the robotics autonomy
stack that drives our Autonomous Mobile Robots, including
perception, navigation, SLAM, coordination, ROS, and robot
applications. The role encompasses identifying capabilities to
improve the robot behavior for a variety of use cases, define new
robot modes to better interact with people, obstacles, and
equipment, as well as identifying limitations and improvements of
existing robotics systems to better address new applications.
As a Robotics Software Technical Product Manager, Principal, you
- Own the entire strategy and execution of the autonomy and robot
behavior stack, including value proposition, differentiations,
roadmap, release planning, go to market, beta testing and customer
validation utilizing feedback from real world deployments.
- Provide clear definition of robot behaviors in diverse
situations found in warehousing and manufacturing operations, so
robots behave in a safe, predictable, and efficient manner.
- Through comprehensive knowledge of the customers and their
needs, market, competitive landscape, distribution channels and
Zebra offerings, the Product Manager Principal defines clear,
actionable, and customer-driven product requirements.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders throughout the
development process in negotiating design trade-offs that may be
needed, while preserving the requirements stated in the product
epics. Internal stakeholders include but not limited to
engineering, end users, channel partners, sales, support
organizations, and manufacturing.
- Drive product lifecycle management responsibilities for a
specific robot family, including:
- Work closely with operations and supply chain to properly
manage, forecast, ramp plans, component obsolescence, and product
- Manage transitions and discontinuations of product lines.
- Manage product related communications to both internal and

- This position is responsible for ensuring the ongoing review of
the competitive environment for his/her product category. This is
accomplished through analysis competitive equipment and compilation
of other pertinent findings, and the information thus gained is
published and/or presented on a regular basis.
- The Product Manager Principal actively supports the Sales
organization as required in select sales presentations, proposals
and opportunities. Responsible for competitive analysis, as
represented in developed presentation materials including detailed
metrics and analysis to support business case and product
development process. Also helps in seting - pricing strategy.
Establishes product price to maximize sales and profitability
- Product Management is responsible for insuring that positioning
and factual content are correct, and that timing for release of
promotional materials fits with the product launch schedule. In
addition, product positioning and pricing strategies are owned and
managed by the Product Manager Principal and team who coordinate
the communication of this information within product
- Monitors financial performance of product lines and makes
recommendations for pricing action against revenue and margin
objectives. Sets target product costs for new products. Evaluates
cost reduction initiatives working in concert with sustaining
engineering, finance, and other internal partners.
- Travel as needed to visit customers, partners, attend seminars,
trade shows or meet area sales personnel.
- Master's Degree with BS in Engineering Discipline.
- 12+ years of experience, 5+ years of technical product
- Software product management expertise required. The candidate
must have managed and delivered complex software products at
- Technical understanding of algorithms, vision systems, and
probabilistic models. Robotics-specific experience (professional or
technical research) is strongly preferred, but not mandatory.
- Excels in identifying and understanding customer needs and
translating them into clear and actionable engineering
- Strong planning and execution skills. Able to multi-task and
manage complex programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to interact
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and oral
presentation skills as well as ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from senior management,
technical leads, clients, and customers.
- Advanced analytical, problem solving and organizational
- Demonstrates good judgement in decision making, applies
knowledge and experience to guide decisions.
- Ability to assess complex market landscape and create focused,
integrated product plans.
- Familiarity with Agile principles and the Scrum development
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to travel (10%).

Salary: USD 161000.00 - USD 241500.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related
skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive
programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to
earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links
Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be
eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
