Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionThe OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Enzyme Technologies Department in the Reagent Research and Design chapter area of Roche Diagnostics Solutions. You will design, conduct, and analyze laboratory experiments to discover and characterize novel enzymes for innovative epigenetic sequencing solutions. Through independent projects and collaborations with established teams, your data analysis and interpretation will help guide project decisions and contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and patent applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills are expected to clearly explain complex issues, evaluate risks, and communicate findings to a variety of audiences across functions and levels.   • A Ph. D. in the Biological Sciences (molecular & cellular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, chemistry) or related disciplines with relevant first-author publications
  • Proficient with protein engineering tools and processes, including target identification, construction of diverse mutant libraries, protein expression and purification, and candidate screening
  • Experienced with PCR, library preparation technologies, and workflows for epigenetic / epigenomic NGS (EM-seq, MRE-seq, bisulfite sequencing, etc). Familiarity with whole-genome, RNA-Seq, multi-omic, and/or single-cell sequencing applications is a plus
  • Excited to collaborate with system engineers, computational biologists, and statisticians to develop new protocols and algorithms for sequencing data analysis.
