Senior Staff Infrastructure Software Engineer For more than two decades, NVIDIA has pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics. Because this position supports many users and systems in a worldwide production environment, your good judgment and attention to detail are needed. We strive to automate any repetitive tasks, empower our users with self-service tools, and provide clear documentation. A friendly, outgoing personality and strong written and verbal interpersonal skills are essential.What you'll be doing:

• Develop tooling to automate deployment and management of large-scale infrastructure environments, to automate monitoring and alerting
• Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans
• Reduce TOIL through automation
• Work with cross functional business partners and customers
• Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents
• Own core infrastructure services (e.g. DNS/DHCP, LDAP, VNC) and thousands of Linux servers across multiple data centers and regions
• Develop self-service tooling and software for our usersWhat we need to see:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of software and API development experience (Python, Go)
  • Proven experience in UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals
  • Shell scripting and automation of repetitive administration tasks
  • Experience using and designing configuration-as-code and infrastructure-as-code through software and toolingWays to stand out from the crowd:

    • Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and colleagues
    • Mentoring junior engineers and guiding them through development and implementation

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
