Job Description:
One of our direct client is urgently looking for a Java
FullStack Support Engineer @ Sunnyvale, CA. TITLE: Java FullStack
Support Engineer LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 6 to 12 Months
Description: As a Java full stack Support Engineer, you are
responsible for resolving high performance and scalable problems on
hand, with respect to the orders that needs to be fulfilled to
millions of Walmart customers, root causing the issues proactively
or reactively, through automation/utils, etc. This position,
reporting to Production Support Manager, will work with
Eng./Product/Business & other technical teams / stakeholders
in/around the team and various customers across globe in different
ecommerce domains. Your Responsibilities: Support java full stack
backend application system components in a massively scalable, high
performance, multi-tenant, international eCommerce platform in a
Java EE and Oracle environment, root causing every
reactive/proactive production issues . Strong experience in
supporting e Commerce Multi Channel Fulfillment applications for
highly scalable multi-tenant platforms, driving critical
(high/medium/low) issues to closure , working with multiple
relevant stakeholders (Business/Eng./Product/DBAs, etc),
understanding the priority of the end-customer impacting incidents,
with less supervision. Ability to triage IBM MQ, Kafka, DB
contention issues & solve it quickly, in an order management flows.
Able to understand & perform basic operations in cloud deployed
application modules. Strong capability to query the related
sterling/custom-moduled tables quickly & voluntarily, along with
finding the problematic process agents. Act as SME to peers and
flexible to support critical production issues. Complete team
member who seamlessly collaborates with team and management to
define and drive technical strategy and architecture direction for
eCommerce platform. Automate /contribute to develop the
framework/util/scripting to save manual efforts of the support team
wherever and whenever necessary, especially with bulk order
reprocessing. Expected to seamlessly switch to a hands-on seasoned
developer as needed. Identify & follow-up with Engineering team for
the root caused sterling/non-sterling order flow issues in prod
cloud environment. Propose/Assist Walmart to solve code/config
issues in the next generation of eCommerce, an integrated
experience that leverage the store, and the web to sell anything,
to anyone, anywhere in the world. Expertise in Supply Chain & OMS
in supporting interface issues/decisions related to Supply Chain
and Fulfillment applications of Walmart’s next generation global
platform. Assess feasibility and ramifications of new business
requirements/issues and will provide appropriate short & long term
solutions and recommend alternative approaches wherever necessary.
Ability to drive decisions in a multi-team cross geography
environment Stay abreast of advancements in Web /ecommerce / supply
chain related technologies in order to determine relevance and
possible impact to existing system, recommending out-of-box
engineering best practices. Additional Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
Experience supporting services using back end technologies (Java,
Spring,). Excellent programming skills using Java/J2EE, XML/ JSON,
XSL, JMS, RESTful web services. In depth knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and
database technologies (Oracle, Cassandra) Scripting skills in at
least one of the following: Perl, Python, Shell, Bash, or Ruby
