Job Description:
* Research the various ways a particular product might be used,
and who will use it* Sketch ideas or create renderings that provide
a visual of design ideas* Use computer software(Autodesk Alias /
Rhino) to develop virtual models of different designs* Create
physical prototypes of their designs* Generate final rendering for
marketing/branding materials* Examine materials and manufacturing
requirements to determine production costs* Develop and optimize
designs by conducting studies on user experience* Work with other
specialists, such as mechanical engineers and manufacturers, to
evaluate whether their design concepts will fill needs at a
reasonable cost* Present designs and demonstrate prototypes to
clients for approvalRequirements* An analytical thinker who is
energized by solving problems through designs* Bachelor of
Industrial Design with 3-5 years of experience* Able to use
sketching and rendering to express and explore ideas during concept
design ideation* Robust CAD skills in Autodesk Alias or
RhinoPreferred* Knowledge of robots and/or consumer electronics*
Experience of user experience study* Hands-on experience in rapid
prototyping
