Director of ISV Program Management - 92582

THE ROLE:

* The individual who fills this role will be responsible for driving all the Client Graphics ISV group operations and programs from planning and budgeting to full deployment. * This individual will lead cross-functionals business and product development teams, aligning all aspects of engineering and operation execution to meet business goals.

THE PERSON:

* This individual will interact with AMD executives and senior management team, internal cross functional teams and possibly customers and will report directly to the CVP CG ISV

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* This individual will be responsible for the management all ISV operations and its day-to-day activities creating, measuring, reporting and ensuring delivery against key metrics spanning a broad range of initiatives to include Budget Planning, Software Deliveries, etc. * This individual will work with ISV business and software teams and drive the annual goals process, monthly tracking, and reporting. Ensure that teams have clear input and output metrics mapped to projects that ladder up to broader strategic initiatives. * This individual will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to support the growth and operations of the ISV team including working on projects related to space planning, tool optimization and potential process improvements. * Work is strategic in nature but hands-on work on tactical manners is expected. * Communication is critical part of this role which includes: * Interpreting/understanding business directions * Explaining tactical details * Recommending solutions regarding complex program situations

* Defines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance. * Drive multi-year strategic ISV roadmap process end to end in partnership with key cross-functional stakeholders. * Own and drive the ISV budget process in partnership with finance counterparts. Ensure that the strategic initiatives are funded with clear ROI and metrics. * Possesses specialized knowledge plus a broader technical knowledge in areas outside his or her area of expertise. * Has responsibility for projects or processes of significant business importance and for results that cross disciplines and business project areas. * Initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiencies.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

* Experience is required in managing large, complex, interrelated projects, programs, and/or functions across a large and distributed organization. * Experience in large scale game software development, plus working knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines is highly desirable. * Experience working with product and technology leaders to drive operational excellence within these teams including driving process improvements to drive specific goals. * Strong understanding of technology and product with prior expertise driving both teams to deliver ambitious roadmap plans by being the steward of the process. * Seeking candidates who are result-driven, disciplined, and analytical, plus with good problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, communications skills, and teamwork spirit. * Possesses a thorough knowledge of the principles or project management and can apply them effectively on small to large size projects.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS in EE and Masters in any engineering disciplines is an advantage

Formal Project Management education, PMP designation is an advantage.
