Responsible for the quality of nursing care and services to patients in their assigned areas of responsibility. Maintains key Relationships with Clinical and Administrative Director peers.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eServes as the supervisor u0026role model for the whole clinical team u0026meets regularly w/ staff to monitor the milieu u0026the care provided to individual patients. Assures that the facility is in compliance w/ regulations u0026directives of the JCAHO, DMH, DHS, u0026LPS Mental Health laws u0026w/ a special focus on ensuring that patient rights are protected at all times. Provides safe, effective u0026efficient implementation of direct care in accordance w/ established policies, procedures u0026standards of care, including non-violent crisis intervention techniques u0026psychiatric rehabilitation principles when called on to do so.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eCollaborates w/ CNO u0026other medical center mgmt in identifying u0026implementing innovative models u0026best practices w/ an emphasis on quality of care, service improvements u0026cost reduction. W/ TPMG partner, directs development u0026implementation of quality u0026utilization standards across the continuum of care to ensure coordinated plans of treatment, patient focused delivery of services u0026cost effective utilization of necessary services. Builds trust w/ the nursing team through visibility. Coordinates w/ TPMG to provide for the seamless transition of patients across the continuum of care. Establishes partnerships w/ facility leadership groups. In collaboration w/ medical staff u0026facility leadership ensures a superior care experience u0026a safe environment w/ patients u0026staff.u003c/pu003eu003culu003eu003cliu003eEnsures policies, practices, u0026procedures comply w/ administrative, legal u0026regulatory requirements of the Health Plan contract u0026governmental u0026accrediting agencies. Provides clinical u0026professional oversight for areas of accountability. Oversees the development of department standards as identified by regulatory agencies including policies u0026procedures. Develops services that achieve a high level of customer satisfaction w/ emphasis on customer service, highest standards of quality u0026innovation. Maintains a state of continuous regulatory readiness. Manages u0026resolves human resource, labor relations, employee u0026department safety u0026risk mgmt issues.
