Job Description:

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Component Engineering group, be responsible for introduction of new components into the ADI ecosystem, analysis (destructive & non-destructive) of components, and technical & manufacturing support of all components.

Design, develop, qualify, and release new components in coordination with both external vendors and internal design, manufacturing, and quality teams. Generate component symbols and footprints for usage in module designs. Maintain and expand internal ADI component databases. Address and resolve component issues, including manufacturing, defects, yields, electrical parameters, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent education in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials preferred) or equivalent technical discipline. Preferred knowledge or experience in: Electrical Components (such as Diodes, Inductors, MOSFETs, transformers, transistors), Failure Analysis (X-ray, Confocal Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (CSAM), Energy Dispersive Analysis X-ray (EDAX)), Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology, and cross sections. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and be the lead in projects. Work both independently and with multiple teams simultaneously.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position - except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) - may have to go through an export licensing review process.
