**Your Career**

The communications team is looking for an excellent writer, storyteller and communicator to lead editorial and thought leadership. You'll be the keeper of the company's content, seeking out stories and perspectives within Palo Alto Networks as well as the right opportunities externally to amplify them.

You must be comfortable working across content types and with executives to develop compelling stories that we can tell through written, spoken and digital work. The head of editorial will create and own a thought leadership program, cultivate the channels where our content is delivered, and work across teams to identify opportunities to develop content and amplify our executives' voices.

This position will require someone with the stamina to devise and implement a long-term program of opportunities, the media relations skills to develop connections with key outlets and conferences, as well as the speed and agility to produce content in response to breaking news cycles.

A creative and strategic thinker who is excited by tech and innovation and the people that drive it, you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and has a proven track record building communications strategies that inform as well as motivate employees. **Your Impact**

+ Establish a thought leadership program in conjunction with senior leadership and communications and marketing team members

+ Collaborate with senior executives to develop written and spoken messages

+ Plan, edit, and write content for a variety of owned and earned communications channels

+ Ensure content is consistent across all media and departments of the organization

+ Develop and maintain relations with key media outlets and conferences

**Your Experience**

+ 7 to 10 years' communications experience, with a focus on journalism, speechwriting

+ Tech experience essential and experience or a proven interest in cybersecurity a must

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a portfolio of writing experience

+ Outstanding presentation skills, with experience presenting to an executive audience

+ Strong team player and creative thinker

+ Ability to influence without authority and to build strong senior relationships to gain input and buy-in for design and implementation of changes

+ Highly organized and self-motivated individual who will oversee timely, first-rate execution

+ Ability to work under pressure to adhere to tight, last-minute deadlines
