Our Everactive Engineering Team consists of mechanical, electrical, software, and silicon design engineers as well as project managers all committed to the commercialization of Everactive's ultra low power wireless IOT systems for industrial applications and beyond.


Everactive is looking for someone to join the Operations team who is very strong at coordinating with vendors to both manage cost as well as component availability. An ideal candidate is someone who has experience managing component availability and second sourcing items throughout a product life cycle with an understanding of compliance requirements. They must be personable and strong in negotiations with vendors regarding driving costs down for the various portions of our designs, be it mechanical assemblies or electrical components. They must also be able to drive vendor delivery schedules for all aspects of our designs during the engineering phase and then manage the material transition to our production Contract Manufacturers.

Battery-less systems are a key differentiator for Everactive requiring ultra-low power design at the silicon, system, and software levels. This position will require constant interaction with all engineering and operations teams to ensure we provide the best possible low power solutions from end to end.


  • Vendor pricing negotiations
  • Vendor management and tracking for deliverables
  • Managing component availability and second sourcing
  • Track and manage the unit cost for new product designs
  • Collaborate, support and interface with our mechanical, electrical, and operations engineering teams
  • Provide updated cost and lead-times at various stages of the design and engineering process for both mechanical and electrical parts
  • Set up and manage a preferred vendor list for mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies
  • Manage production material transfer to Contract Manufactures when products transition to volume production
  • Maintain cost and lead-times for mechanical and electrical parts our the Arena PLM system.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience with sourcing mechanical parts and various fabrication processes: machining, casting, injection molding, plating, etc...
  • Supply chain setup and management experience
  • Experience dealing with part compliance requirements
  • Experience working with overseas and domestic suppliers
  • Ideally already has a strong network of dependable suppliers
  • Experience with component management, planning and tracking
  • Strong communication skills and organizational skills
  • Energy and drive to thrive in a start-up environment
  • Highly proficient with Arena or a comparable PLM system

About the Process

  • First interview - approximately 30 minutes with a Hiring Manager. The goal of this interview is to gauge overall interest, fit within the organization, and to get an introductory gauge of technical capabilities.
  • Second interview - approximately 1 hour with the Team member. The goal of this interview is to dive deeper to gauge technical capabilities. Candidates who do not have the technical skillset to 'check the box' will not proceed past this round.
  • Third interview - approximately one half to one full day, via zoom. The goal of this interview is to introduce the candidate to additional members of the team, have them meet other functional team members who they will interact with / would need to work with, and to sell them on the opportunity!
