Summary of Role:

GLOBALFOUNDRIES seeks and experienced Sr. Manager/Deputy Director for their Wireless Infrastructure & SATCOM Business Line. This position reports to the Vice President of the Wireless Infrastructure and SATCOM business line and will be responsible for the P&L and growth of key technology battlegrounds within the wireless infrastructure and satellite communications markets. The right applicant will have a combination of business acumen and technical capability to interact with customer BU and R&D technical teams at their technical level and offer solutions to their present needs and collaboratively formulating their future roadmap requirements. The candidate will have cradle-to-grave responsibility for solution offering management addressing a broad range of applications within the targeted segments and focus primarily on fronthaul RF and digital devices. Key activities will include the definition of new processes with associated business justification, business development, revenue execution/forecasting and eventual end-of-life activities. A core requirement for this individual is the ability to translate RF market requirements (MRD) into process technology requirements (PRD) as a deliverable to our technology solutions organization. This includes device requirements, PDK and design flow requirements, IP requirements and competitive technology benchmarking needs. This individual will work with the technology development, design enablement, finance, manufacturing, strategic marketing, and sales teams to develop the necessary product offering inputs for a successful approval exit. This role will be responsible for establishing the offering business case and by working closely with business development, sales and execution/operations, drive the business to generate profitable revenue for the business line.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Solution offering roadmap ownership and portfolio management including business case development and justification with finance and operations team
  • Interaction with customers in partnership with sales to drive profitable revenue growth
  • MRD ownership and handoff to technology development team
  • Product level pricing strategy recommendation to finance team
  • Product council proposal ownership through signoff
  • Sales kit development, sales team training and offering collateral creation/development
  • Marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategy in partnership with marketing team
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Related Discipline
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Experience in the RF Semiconductor Product Field
  • Travel Requirements: 25% of Travel
  • Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in electrical engineering or business (MSEE and MBA)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in RF semiconductor product field
