About this role:

As part of Gartner's Marketing and Communication practice, you will help equip CMOs and Heads of Communication with what is needed to grow their organizations and map their path to mastery of reputation and brand management, crisis communications, public relations, and social media.

What you'll do:

* Create insightful and actionable research in multiple formats (i.e. writing, video, infographics) on best practices in brand, reputation, public relations (including agency management), crisis communications, and social media * Deliver high quality actionable advice and represent thought leadership to marketing and communications leaders through video-based presentations and discussions with clients * Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas * Lead webinars and present at Gartner live and virtual events on mission critical marketing and communications topics

What you'll need:

* The candidate must have significant experience gained from working for 10+ years in a role building and leading strategies to establish or shape organizational brand and reputation (either as a Communications/Marketing leader or in an agency setting managing multiple accounts)

This role requires subject matter expertise in:

* The development of national and international public relations campaigns with an eye towards demonstrating measurable business impact * Brand and reputation management leadership * Effective crisis management and prevention * Agency relationship management * The effective use of corporate social media * The communication channels that power the modern media landscape * The technologies and representative vendors that support brand management and corporate communication delivery * Content management expertise, e.g. strategies to cohesively manage earned, owned, shared, and paid media * Beyond subject matter expertise, the right person for this role is willing to challenge conventional norms and views by creating unique, compelling research that will change the way communications and marketing leaders solve problems and build strategies for tomorrow

Additional proven skills required include:

* Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical skills

Articulate and succinct communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with public speaking experience.

* Demonstrated ability to piece together fragments of information, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, and drawing and framing conclusions in real-time, with clients and during meetings. * Impeccable time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently * Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred * Ability to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globally
