Manager of FP&A - Sales Marketing

Gigamon FP&A is looking for an energetic and collaborative FP&A Manager to join us on our growth journey. The ideal candidate needs to have in-depth experience in supporting sales and marketing organizations, be familiar with the SaaS and software business model, be flexible, highly organized, and a problem solver. Must have the ability to quickly grasp business needs and issues, be comfortable interpreting their meaning and relevance, and effectively communicate and present them to functional leaders.

This role will serve as the primary Finance partner to the Senior Vice President of Sales and his direct reports, and the Chief Marketing Officer and his direct reports. As an individual contributor and the lead finance partner to Sales and Marketing, the role will (1) work with Sales Operations to complete booking and revenue forecasting and variance analysis, (2) work with functional VPs and rest of the finance team to manage Sales and Marketing headcount and expenses, and provide insightful analysis related to headcount changes, commission expense, and other sales and marketing discretionary spending and investment, and (3) drive the quarterly/annual operational planning that include booking and revenue plan, and the Sales and Marketing headcount and spending plan. In addition, the candidate will drive ROI analysis on bookings, pricing, discount, and spending projects to help the company achieve financial and operational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Trusted advisor to Senior Vice President of Sales and his direct reports, and the Chief Marketing Officer and his direct reports
  • Partner with Sales Operations to support sales coverage, productivity model and booking analytics
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for the Sales and Marketing organizations
  • Partner with FP&A members to drive the annual operating plan that includes booking, revenue, headcount, commission and all other sales and marketing expenses
  • Oversee validation and approval of functional requests for headcount, purchase orders and expenditures against correct cost center, available funding, and authorized projects
  • Complete the monthly close for Sales and Marketing functions that includes completing PO accruals, updating headcount data to Adaptive Planning, analyze variance details, prepare flux analysis and complete the annual forecast
  • Prepare monthly expense and functional metrics reporting packages and review the information with functional leaders
  • Provide bookings, pricing and discount reporting and analysis as needed
  • Prepare ROI analytics for executive management review related to marketing programs, sales incentives, and contra revenue programs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA or BS in finance or accounting, MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and forecasting for SaaS and software companies, and support the sales and marketing organizations
  • Years of experience in supporting worldwide sales and marketing organizations
  • Quantitative and analytical thinker
  • Extensive Excel financial modeling, data mining, and management presentation experience
  • Experience using Salesforce.com, Adaptive Workday SaaS applications, Microsoft D365 or other ERP applications
