The Opportunity

Job Responsibilities:

As a key member of corporate functional safety team, you will be responsible for performing IC level functional safety analysis, developing functional safety documents, enabling work products to meet all product requirements as per ISO 26262. You will be coordinating with cross functional teams including the business unit engineering, central engineering, quality management systems to standardize our business process, provide technical guidance, ensure full compliance of ISO 26262 throughout the product lifecycle.

Specific Job Requirements:

  • 7 + years of working experience in semiconductor industry, specific to quality, product engineering or design engineering
  • 3+ experience related experience in functional safety - ISO 26262
  • Formal certification or training for ISO 26262 Process based on V-Model
  • Must have Involved in one or two IC based (FuSa) work product throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Experience in conducting reviews & audits with project teams to ensure meeting functional safety standard throughout the development process
  • Lead cross-functional engineering and different cross functional teams to achieve their Functional Safety related deliverables
  • Expertise in at least one of the commonly used functional safety tools, i.e. Polarian, Jama, Door, Medini or similar ones
  • Experience working in product lifecycle environment and using related tools
  • Interface with Tier1 and Tier0 customers to manage safety related SW & HW requests
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS in an engineering discipline such as computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering, advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry with 5+ years in Automotive semiconductor specific and 3+ years in functional safety - ISO 26262
  • Experience in developing Functional Safety processes and tools tailored to product and development processes, support the implementation of these processes and tools for the organization
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of Safety analysis, including performing DFMEA, FMEDA, DFA and FTA tools and techniques
  • Expertise in performing statistical analysis, FIT rates or BFR calculation using tools, such as IEC / TR 62380 or SN 29500
  • Experience in IC hardware/software integration activities across multiple component development teams
  • Experience in managing with IP, EDA or design tool suppliers to meet functional safety requirements
  • Experience in driving completion of verification and validation activities, specifically verification test plans and confirmation reviews
