Data Strategy Roche Diagnostics Data Strategy is built on the concept of the Data Mesh - the combination of Data Governance, 20+ Data Domains, and Data Infrastructure. Each Data Domain is operated by a Data Domain Team (including Domain Lead and Domain Data Steward(s)) which is responsible for making data available for secondary use, in ways that are easy to understand and easy to use. The Opportunity As the Real World Data (RWD) Lead Data Steward you will contribute to Diagnostics Data Strategy by executing efforts leading to making RWD FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) in Diagnostics. As an experienced, hands-on RWD user, you will be responsible for definition of Diagnostics RWD access strategy and respective implementation through licensing and collaborations, establishing RWD quality metrics and processes, defining SOPs and corresponding internal policies and procedures for the day to day operational and administrative management and use of RWD systems and data, managing RWD training curriculum and communication activities. Reporting to the RWD SubChapter Lead you will establish and lead the RWD Stewards team to architect and manage the RWD Domain in close collaboration with Diagnostics Data Office, RWD Domain Leader and other RWD teams in Roche Group. Your main responsibilities will include: * Establishing and leading a team of highly effective RWD Stewards focused on implementation of the RWD domain in Diagnostics * Defining and implementing of the RWD Domain foundations (including but not limited to: RWD Access and Governance, RWD Processes and Systems, RWD processes including SOPs/Policies and RWD Institutional Knowledge) and specifically: * Identifying key RWD stakeholders needs for RWD data and respective RWD sources to satisfy those needs (eg. licensing, collaborations, spotlight projects) * In collaboration with Group RWD functions negotiating with the data source owners to make most possible and complete RWD available * Ensuring contracting and proposals and protocols with collaborators follows internal requirements * Establishing and maintaining a data catalog for the RWD * Defining access rules and managing access requests for the RWD assets * Defining, reviewing and safeguarding RWD domain-specific processes and procedures for data maintenance (e.g., methods, standards) and data usage and applications to ensure highest quality outcomes. * In collaboration with respective functions developing compliance procedures and systems. * Defining needs and managing development of RWD analytics systems enabling faster and more efficient RWD analyses * Contributing to Diagnostics efforts focused on of the RWD policies and positions * Developing RWD domain training strategy and managing its implementation * In collaboration with other RWD Group functions developing and managing Diagnostics RWD knowledge repository enabling users an efficient and fast access to company's RWD know how * Ensuring effective RWD communication * Developing skills and competencies that are needed to form a high-performing, empowered team of RWD Stewards * Providing guidance and mentorship for the organization * Acting as role-model for Agile Leadership behaviors, as well as for our culture, mindset & behaviors as defined in We@RocheDiagnostics Who you are * Master Degree in RWD related field (Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacoepidemiology or similar areas of academic discipline) * Min 8 years hands-on RWD experience with demonstrated increase in responsibilities over time * Good understanding of the RWD environment and market trends * Good understanding of data privacy, governance and policies * Good understanding of data science, data engineering and data technologies * Experience in managing quantitative scientists and analysts * Results-oriented, diligent and has a sense of urgency. Assertive, responsible for his own (self-directed) work, and is willing to commit to deadlines * Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a strong desire to work in multifunctional teams * Proven ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed, cross-functional environment * Good knowledge of English in a business environment * Prior experience working in Diagnostics industry is a plus Mindset We@RocheDiagnostics is the mindset and culture we as Diagnostics colleagues strive to adopt to help achieve our vision and realize our strategy.
