We are seeking an Enterprise IT Architect to provide advanced architecture expertise to achieve eHealth's strategic IT objectives through technology modernization. The Enterprise IT Architect partners with stakeholders to ensure all technology solutions align with enterprise standards, architecture principles, and approved target states and patterns. The Enterprise IT Architect is also expected to develop and continuously improve architecture standards, principles, target states and patterns for their respective domain responsibilities. The Enterprise IT Architect must be a technical expert and demonstrate mastery of one or many technical domains, with an emphasis on modern technologies - including, but not limited to enterprise applications, business applications, networking, cloud native computing, microservices, event-based streaming services. Responsibilities * Develop both current and future state architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps to achieve the target state and technology modernization * Lead the design for transformation of existing application stack (SaaS and AWS) to help consolidate, rationalize, and optimize business applications portfolio * Provide practical, comprehensive designs, patterns, and implementation approaches to ensure development is aligned with the desired target state * Define parameters that guide engineering teams on determining whether to enhance existing, develop new, or purchase third-party systems * Define frameworks for DevSecOps, APIs, containerization, and technology debt management and ensure they are incorporated into application development practices * Possess an automate everything mindset, from Continuous Architecture based design to team collaboration * Configure and enable microservices and migrate monolithic systems * Build Proof of Concepts, model concepts and designs using standardized notations, frameworks and tools * Evaluate internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements. * Create business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals. * Analyzes, design, and develops roadmaps and implementation plans based upon a current vs; a future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint, including detecting critical deficiencies and recommending solutions for improvement. * Performs ongoing architecture quality review activities and analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements. * Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities. * Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others; develops, motivates, and directs staff to create a team environment. * Collaborates with Engineering, Product and Technical Operations Teams to effectively manage integration, verification of testing results, and monitoring of technical standards compliance and deployment. Qualifications * Requires a B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering solutions within a complex environment, possessing expert-level skills in technology architecture and design * Strong experience designing and architecting integration of new technology and platforms with legacy systems * Experience crafting and integrating Cloud (SaaS) solutions including ERP, CRM and Cloud based Contact Center and designing and executing integration projects using API led architecture * Solid understanding of security practices through all phases of the application development life cycle * Strong hands-on experience in configuring, managing CIAM solutions (Okta, Auth0) is preferred * TOGAF or similar certification is preferred * AWS or Microsoft certification is preferred * Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration is a plus * Deep understanding and technical capability for system design and business strategy, ability to translate strategy into viable technology solutions * Excellent written, visual, and oral communication skills, ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with key business partners, including senior executives * Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills including the ability to bring together various teams and resources to deliver results * Experience designing event-based and streaming solutions eHealth is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
