The Benefits Specialist position represents an opportunity for an experienced benefit professional to have a major impact on the success of our clients and their employees. The primary 1st year objectives for this position are:
- Act as the primary point of contact for client's HR/Benefits staff and own all aspects of support for a book of 25-35 employer clients ranging in size from 20 - 300 employees
- Project management for client's renewal, plan and conduct open enrollment meetings and health fairs, manage client's benefit vendors, support of benefits technology, act as an escalation point for eligibility and billing discrepancies, and ongoing assistance with problems & questions.
- Achieve high client satisfaction scores by developing and maintaining strong relationships with your clients with the objective of helping them make well informed benefits decisions for their organization.
- Achieve high internal survey scores by working closely with Melita Benefits Advisors to deliver a complete solution for our customers in every aspect of their relationship with us. We strive to help our clients succeed, and doing so requires a team effort and a focus on results.
- Actively participate in continuing to make Melita a great place to work and a trusted advisor for our clients by taking initiative, innovating on better ways of doing things and serving our clients, contribute to the team's development by mentoring others, and doing whatever it takes to dazzle our clients.

Ideally, the perfect candidate would have at least 3 years' experience in an Account Management role in the HR and or employee benefits industry. An ability to think "outside the box" and a sincere desire to serve others, are highly desired. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
