part of the team that develops the cloud-based detection service to
power the Palo Alto Networks next generation firewall. The
detection service team is responsible for developing cloud-based
security solutions that identify the advanced threats on enterprise
customers networks.As a member of the detection service team, you
have the opportunity to work on different projects to enable
customers to have cloud detection on the exploits and APT attacks
as well as their mitigation.Your Impact
- Design and develop the large-scale and efficient machine
learning ETL pipelines to serve multiple detection
applications
- Design and implement the database and data storage for
day-to-day machine learning training, feature engineering and model
validation
- Build auto-scale data engineering systems using Google Cloud
(GCP) toolkits with high performance computation
- Build and monitor the dashboard to evaluate machine learning
metric and performance and raise alerts if a model is not
performing well
- Handle cloud deployment requirements from data scientists
- Develop machine learning based detection engines for new
attacking vectors
- Blog and conference publicationsQualificationsYour Experience
- Team player, and good communication skills to work with
cross-functional groups
- Proven track record of delivering the large-scale data
engineering systems for machine learning projects
- Strong software engineering skills in scripting languages
(Bash, Python). Knowledge of Go is a plus
- Deep understanding of Google Cloud toolkits for data
engineering and machine learning; Hands-on experience of applying
them into previous projects, such as BigQuery, GCP Spark, Dataproc,
Dataflow, Kubeflow etc.
- Experience and knowledge of popular free and commercial
toolsets, for example, Elastic Search, MySQL, Grafana, MongoDB,
SnowFlake, Data Brick etc
- Track record of implementing related GCP services in a variety
of business such as enterprises and start-ups
- Ability to understand the complex application data flows and
bridge the gap between the data scientists and infra team
- Basic knowledge of machine learning model building and
testing
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related
experience
- Curiosity to learn machine learning toolkits, algorithms and
model building is a plus
- Experience with malware detection and network traffic analysis
is a plus
- Security Blogs and Talks on the top security conference like
