What You Do At AMD Changes EverythingAt AMD, we push the
boundaries of what is possible. We believe in changing the world
for the better by driving innovation in high-performance computing,
graphics, and visualization technologies - building blocks for
gaming, immersive platforms, and the data center.Developing great
technology takes more than talent: it takes amazing people who
understand collaboration, respect, and who will go the "extra mile"
to achieve unthinkable results. It takes people who have the
passion and desire to disrupt the status quo, push boundaries,
deliver innovation, and change the world. If you have this type of
passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities
available to come join our team. Senior Solutions Architect The
RoleAs a Senior Solutions Architect in the Embedded Business Unit,
you will develop and analyze CPU and system level solutions that
are based on AMD products including x86 processors, integrated CPU
+ GPU SoCs, and GPUs. Complete solutions mean target system use
cases and applications for the target market segments that Embedded
business unit focuses on. Specific segments include networking,
security/firewall, storage, wireless infrastructure, edge
computing, industrial IoT, automotive, and embedded. Complete
solutions include all hardware, firmware and software components in
a system. You will develop reference architecture and
implementations for target use cases and optimization recipes for
maximizing application performance, and innovation which enables
strong differentiation of AMD based solutions. You will author
reference architecture documents, technical papers, application
notes, solution briefs, and customer-ready presentations for
helping customers architect and design AMD x86 processor based
platforms. The PersonYou will be a hands-on expert focusing on AMD
x86 processor architecture (including x86 ISA, SoC architecture,
RAS features, security features, etc.), firmware (e.g. UEFI and
others), performance analysis and system architecture including x86
processor, memory hierarchy and peripheral system components. You
will collaborate with customers, partners and internal product and
engineering teams as a technical expert with deep domain
expertise. You have a demonstrated ability to establish and drive to
goals including plan of record, timelines, budget, scope,
performance and quality will be critical to success. A passion for

performance analysis, using Open Vswitch, DPDK; security protocols
like IPSec, TLS; offload with accelerators or smart NICs, P4;
storage applications using SPDK, ISA-L; virtualization or container
environment and orchestration like Kubernetes.
- Strong in system design and architecture of networking products
involving switching, routing and security, storage systems,
wireless infrastructure equipment and telco applications.
- Experience with Linux system programming (e.g. sockets, files,
shared memory, multi-threaded programming/process
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Layer 3/ Layer 4
network protocols such as TCP/IP.
- Understanding of 5G/LTE protocol is desired.
