AIML - ML Research Scientist, Biosignal Intelligence Group At the Biosignal Intelligence Group, we bring together experts from a wide range of disciplines to craft new experiences through machine learning that power novel sensors. We are looking for an ML Research Scientist to implement cutting edge deep learning algorithms to power the next generation of Apple products. In this role, you'll be part of a team of researchers from ML, HW and SW backgrounds and work cross functionally with engineers, designers and prototypers to enable experiences with new sensors through deep learning.

• Experience with implementing and training deep learning models with 1-D or multi-channel time-series signals
• Strong Python skills and relevant libraries like numpy, scipy
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow
• Familiarity with software design principles and data structures
• Experience in prototyping hardware/software is a plus
• Experience working with biosignals is a plus
• Experience in signal processing (filtering & spectrograms) is a plus
• Experience in working with wearables is a plus Work with a cross functional team of researchers, designers, hardware and software engineers to conduct ML research and productize cutting edge deep learning techniques for use with new sensors.- Formulate research questions, plan experiments and implement solutions- Train, evaluate, and debug deep neural networks- Find architectures best suitable for the user experiences and new sensors being developed in house- Help plan and design protocols for experiments and data collection- Keep track of experiments and results over time- Efficiently communicate research findings to executives and partner teams MS or PhD in Computer Science or related fields, an equivalent qualification obtained through other avenues, or a strong track record of ML Research in industry
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
