**Volt is currently hiring a Fabrication Technician for a leading company in Santa, Clara, CA!**Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 am - 4:30 pmDescription:Create high precision optics using glass fabrication machinery. Experienced with set up, operation and making program changes of CNC equipment. Fabricate, grind and/or polish precision optics using a variety of equipment. Must be able to verify accuracy of finished product, as well as support process and product development. Focused on fabricating high quality products and quickly meeting customer's needs.Requirements:Skilled running glass or ceramic machining equipmentSkilled with optical metrology equipmentInspecting parts using auto autocollimators and interferometersSkilled to visually inspect parts for defectsAble to run glass fabrication machineryOptics handling skills to prevent scratches and defectsGood communications skillsAble to work standing in machine tool environmentPreferred to have basic computer data entry skillsWorks well on teamsWillingness to work in multiple areas of concentration ranging from CNC machine operation to delicate hand polishing.Knowledgeable regarding at least 2 of the following operations/machines: Optics Protection, Scratch-Dig Surface Inspection, Hand Figure Correction, Beveling, Edge Polishing, Metrology, Flat Blocking, Deterministic Polishing, Spindle, Grinding and Polishing, Optical CNCs, Master Cam Software, Vericut SoftwareVolt is an equal opportunity employer
