Reference Architect, you are responsible for building Palo Alto
Networks' Reference Architectures across our product lines today
and in the future. A Reference Architect is required to engage with
key stakeholders, gather technical requirements, create evaluation
test plans, and document technical content. A key goal is to build
architectural guidance that guides Palo Alto Networks Systems
Engineers, Partners and Customers when designing security
solutions.This Reference Architect position focuses on our complete
security operations product offering, centering on integrating Palo
Alto Networks and, where required, technology partner solutions. It
requires someone with a broad understanding of security practices
and a proven ability to solve customer security challenges through
solution development.Your Impact
- Work with product management, sales, and marketing, own the
creation of Reference Architectures that describe how Palo Alto
Networks products work together to solve customer business
challenges
- Work with engineering to understand the product and technology
roadmaps and how they bring value to customers
- Collaborate with product marketing and product management teams
to define customer requirements for the architecture
- Build and maintain a validation lab
- Create written content that helps sales and partners use
architectures to position and sell solutions
- Leverage subject matter expertise to convey benefits and
positions to sales engineers, marketing, and product
development
- Provide education and knowledge transfer to the sales engineers
through written content development and internal presentations
- Responsible for upholding Palo Alto Networks Business Code of
Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other
company policies
- Perform other related duties as assignedQualificationsYour
experience
- 3+ years of experience authoring and publishing technical
documentation
- 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and
troubleshooting enterprise security solutions, with significant
expertise in endpoint security and XDR
- 3+ years of experience with designing SecOps solutions
- Hands-on experience building lab environments and
troubleshooting network infrastructure and security products
- Demonstrable experience with designing solutions using emerging
technologies
- The ability to quickly learn something new and apply it to a
solution is critical
- Be a great storyteller, with the ability to communicate that

at $168,000/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock
