*_Family Child Education-Santa Clara Unified School District provides high quality infant, toddler preschool and after school programs on elementary school campuses throughout Santa Clara Unified School District._*Family Child Education is seeking a passionate _*Early Childhood Education professional *_interested in making a difference in the lives of young children ages 6 weeks-5 years old. As one of our dynamic and experienced site leaders, you will ensure your program provides hands-on, developmentally appropriate educational activities, enriched and inviting indoor and outdoor classroom environments, and lead your team of child development professionals to create a positive early learning experience for children and their families.*LOCATION: Bowers Infant and Toddler Program**ALL APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION.* Please use this link to complete the SCUSD online application. Include copies of college transcripts verifying degrees and/or courses completed.***HOURS: ** Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm / 12 months* Must be available to open the center if necessary at 7:00 am* Programs are open year-round.* Hours, schedule, and locations are subject to change when school is not in session based on the needs of the program.*SALARY: *$31.62-$39.62 per hour; Salary based on education and experience* Salary based on education, child development permit, and experience* Candidates with a valid CA Teacher Permit are placed on a higher pay scale (an additional 5% which is reflected in the pay range above)* Benefits include: Sick and Vacation Leave, Holiday pay, Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement-California Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERs)*QUALIFICATIONS: *BA in Early Childhood Education or related field and a current Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or higher required. Master's degree preferred.* 3-5 years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks- 4 years old in an early childhood education program* 2-3 years of progressive leadership experience working in a supervisory or mentoring role supporting preschool and after school classrooms* Ability to operate standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications i.e.. Google workspace, Microsoft office, Zoom, etc; preparing and maintaining accurate records* CPR and First Aid Certified* Must be in good health, able to lift 30 lbs. chest high, and pass a physical exam* Must be able to walk, squat, bend and stand; ability to move freely to supervise and engage in indoor and outdoor activities with children.*KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: *Provide leadership in creating developmentally appropriate curriculum directly connected to the needs and interests of the children for preschool children.* Responsible for ongoing development, implementation, evaluation and oversight of the child-centered, play-based curriculum for all children* Knowledge of and/or experience with High Scope, Developmentally Appropriate Practices, QRIS, Preschool Learning Foundations, Teaching Pyramid, Desired Results Developmental Profile and/or ECERS preferred.* Manage center financial, marketing and enrollment functions.* Ability to clearly convey messages regarding organizational policies, procedures and practices.* Ability to perform job duties with minimum supervision.* Keep children safe and healthy through proper supervision, authentic interaction and practicing good health habits* Ensure all health and safety protocols are implemented and practiced in the classroom as outlined by SCUSD and FCE.* Create exciting and enriched environments connected to curriculum and quality learning experiences.* Work collaboratively with other staff by role modeling workplace values, flexibility, and being a team player.* Ability to problem solve, use good judgment, communicate effectively both verbally & in writing, set priorities and goals, resolve conflict, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.* Provide excellent customer service for families, school, and community.* Site Supervisor may be in ratio to assist with breaks/absences.Job Type: Full-timePay: $31.62 - $39.62 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Employee discount* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Paid time off* Professional development assistance* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:* Santa Clara, CA 95054: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: One location
